RE: Tornado install

One question. Will the liquid contents of the tank back up into the Tornado clear hose when not in use?

RE: receiver hitch on front of TV with storage rack

Bought a Bodiak receiver for my TV to haul a bike rack. One short trip and never again. The bikes & rack moving around freaked me out. The rack & bikes also blocked some of my vision and would block a lot of your light. Have heard about the tow hooks bending from the down forces created from road vibration. No actual experience with this. A fixed / bolted receiver would be the safest with a heavy load.

RE: Digital Converter Coupons

Make sure you use them before the expiration date. Ours expired and I was told it is against the federal law to issue another.
Guess the issuer gets to keep what hasn't been used.

RE: Took the new TT out for its first run...

Had the same problem. The fans will work. If you have outside thru storage access near the source of the leak open it up so it can air out and dry also. I added a water alarm in this compartment for piece of mind.

RE: Securing the Awning

Went to the Keys last October. Roll the awning up when away or asleep. Spent one really long hour at Long Key physically holding mine down about 1:00 am. Woke up to TT rocking and could not roll up quick. Had hold downs, deflappers, plant hangers and lights strung. Do not place lights onto the roller. too hard to get off quick. Deflappers work good when you are there. Hold downs come out of the sand in high winds. Place your rope lights on the ground, nice light and does not bother the neighbors. Have a safe trip.

RE: Closing up the trailer for the winter - moisture & mice?

Drain & clean your black & gray tanks first, preferably at your last outing. Drain your water system, open all low point drains and remove the water heater drain plug. Blow out all water with air, 45 / 50 psi. Set your valves to bypass the water heater. Purchase a winterization kit and place in line between holding tank and water pump. This will suck RV antifreeze out of the bottle instead of wasting a lot in the holding tank. Turn on your pump, open all faucets, one at a time, inside and out. Run until RV antifreeze comes out. Do the same with your toilet. Dump enough down all the drains to insure your elbows, valves & plumbing are protected. Some stop here, some blow out the RV antifreeze. Remove all food, hygiene and cleaning products (anything that can freeze). Clean and polish for next season.
